That about hits the nail on the head!
I was looking at Freelander, and had I not spent so much money already I think I'd go for one hands down. I still might, I like them a lot, I'm just playing the money/investment game. If more money now for a better product will serve me better then I'll go for it. But if the product isn't so much better and I'd be happy, with and served well by, a cheaper product then I'm not 'rolling around' enough to justify all the extra expense.
The Kidder does sound like a sound sporran but I'm just not sure I like the style as much as others.
The Knotwork is a bit of an unkown quantity since I like the style somewhat and the price with strap is a good deal, but will I be disappointed with the product - too small or whatever?
Whilst I'm loving the kilts I have and can see myself getting more, I'm not an indiscriminate spender and wont be loading up on a collection of sporrans and shirts and all the other stuff. One sporran will be enough for me for a while I think.
Incidentally, and I know this breaks with tradition, but I found that since I didn't have a sporran but wanted to wear my new traditional and needed both the function and style of having something with my kilt, I found that I quite liked adding one of the detachable pockets from my UK Survival to my belt, wearing it on the hip.
