As best as I can remember, he was interviewed again on his return to Detroit some months ago. He was appreciative of the EIGHT kilts that he received.
Since that point, websites of kiltmakers have posted MANY pictures of kilts that were ordered and paid-for by the soldiers... most noteably SportKilts and UtiliKilts.
From what I heard in a conversation with an old friend over the Holidays, the word spread FAST through Iraq and Afghanistan about the Sgt. Farr situation. Apparently, the guys were psyched to grab one for lounging around. The style of the UtiliKilt and the price of the SportKilt seems to be "the issue" over there.
Whatever the case, I'm just glad that the kilts are something that can make life a little more enjoyable in a hostile environment.
