I also dive and was on the phone with a fellow diver talking about St. Patricks Day coming up. When I mentioned wearing my kilt in the parade the discussion switched to if I would wear one diving.
While very impracticle for underwater use it would be very practicle for changing. I hate to wear a bathing suit under my wetsuit. So a kilt would be very handy for changing. I need to find a material that drys fast and/or repels water, holds pleats well, and is comfortable.
I also worked on a friends roof sunday. 12/12 pitch 30+ feet in the air I suddenly realized the modesty snaps on a UK would really come in handy. My fiance and the friends wife both agreed when I told them what I was thinking.
