I must say that like Blu, I've had enough of our beautiful Canadian winter and I have officially declared kilt season open.

Did it end? It's been a really good winter, we had above average snow (it hung out for 2 weeks), a ton of rain, and today it is sunny and 11 degrees. I've been in shorts or a kilt for over a week.
Come on, I can take my jabs, I grew up in Winnipeg!

As I post this moment, it is snowing in Denver (lightly but it is snow), I am enjoying it, kilted and all 8)

Great photo Blu. I am jealous.
The United Kingdom has had more snow this year than for many years but, in this part of the country we have hardly seen a flake. Yet 20 miles away there have been power failures, traffic grinding to a halt and schools closed because of the heavy falls. I remember, back in the 1950s, tramping for up to five miles through 15" deep level snow - just to get to my Scottish Country Dancing classes - but I've not seen anything like that in the past 12 years or so.
We've also had one of the driest winters on record and, according to the Water Companies, if we do not get very heavy rain for the next two months, we could have hose-pipe bans or even water rationing conditions by mid-summer!

Carefull Hamish, you are starting to sound like one of those old fogies! You know the type, "When I was young, we didn't even have shoes, they weren't even invented yet, as a matter of fact, we used to have to walk to school 15 miles barefoot, up hill, both ways, in the snow, ... and we appricated it!"
Just having some fun Hamis .... take care.

Don't worry Brian. I am frequently finding myself saying things like, "When I was your age...." and "In my day ......"! It's rather frightening actually, but it just seems to happen before I can bite my tongue!
The silly part of all this is that I don't
look old enough to behave in that way. I'm still a Golden Boy! I'm in my prime!

You got that right Ham! You look great!
We're only as old as we feel, and from the looks of it, you feel like you're 20
