US Navy Edzell Tartan
Yes, it is indeed the US Navy Tartan. It was created for the US Naval Security Group Activity, RAF Edzell. FYI The dark blue in the tartan is for the US Navy. Since there were some USAF personnel assigned to the base the light blue represents the Air Force. The red stripe represents the fine Marines of the Marine Support Battalion, and the white represents the oceans white caps.
I was stationed there in my active duty days and just recently had a kilt made of the tartan by alexis malcom. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a beautiful tartan and if you are looking to have a kilt made with a US military affiliation I highly recommend it.
