I ended up getting a Swiss K31 "Schmidt-Rubin" 7.5mm straight-pull bolt action rifle. Made in 1946. She's a beauty. Wood needs refinishing but the metal is in fine shape.

Hey just to rewind... if we make it on the 22nd instead of the 23rd, we'll be able to catch Rocky & Kelly at the same venue. And one of our favorite local bands.

Only trouble with the 22nd is that I have friends coming down on the 23rd, so they wouldnt be able to share in the insanity of the event. (That and I wouldnt be able to leave DE wil about 10 PM... Let me see what I can do though..)

I might end up doing both anyway.

My kid brother turned 21 this week. I might take him out to FW on Friday night, be his designated driver, and pick up his bar tab.

Then I get to come out on my own saturday night if that's when you guys want to hit it.
