Well Hal, since you ask.....

I am sorry but I think it would look pretty daft! In my opinion, and this is nothing to do with Scottish tradition, it's for the lassies to wear jewellery in that manner and in that position.

Personally, I don't even like the fly plaid and do not wear one but, returning to the brooch: I feel our Dress Jackets are elaborate enough, yet stunning in their simplicity, without further adornment.
