WOW! Thanks everyone for the FAILTE!!! Even better than the one-hundred thousand bit! And thanks so much Doc for the compliments on the band. Seeing as we were the only one at the time, it was most certainly us, though in a slightly different manifestation, the Ben Dearg (Red Mountain) Pipe Band. The Pipe Major at the time was the first piper in the state Iain Sturrock. He is now passed on, but his pipes are soon to sing again. Having long hidden in a closet, they were recently put under my care to refurbish. I opened the case to behold nothing other than an antique set of old Hendersons!!! They will soon sound once more! Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all! All the best! Cheers! -- Ry
As one who is just staring on the pipes, its nice to see another piper, here (not that I am one, there are some others here, and the numbers seem to be growing)
An old set of Hendersons! What a treasure, and what a great tribute to your past Pipe Major! Play them with pride and remembrance!
Just a side note: I went to both your web sites (browsing now) and noticed that when initially visiting them, it resizes my browser window (in thew newest versions of both IE and Firefox) I didn't know if it was intentional or not, but I wanted to throw that out there ;)
