    postal charges

I went to order a kilt pin, cost 18AUD, nice pin - nice price, but the postal charge comes to 32AUD. That is well out of order.

Has anyone else found their postage charges too high?

The only things I've priced from them were a traditional kilt and a tweed jacket. The shipping charges were pretty substantial, but nothing like you've quoted. It's ridiculous that the shipping is almost twice the price of your pin.

It's a shame really 'cos it's a really nice pin. Here it is..

Maybe I'll call in and buy one when I'm over there, save postage.

Good result, Blair Walker from Kiltstore revised down the postage and I've now ordered two of the kilt pins.

I'm very pleased with their service and response.

That is good to know, Graham. I've had several dealings with KiltStore.net and have found them to be nothing but helpful and reasonable.

By the way, that pin is sold by most Highland Dress Outfitters in Scotland. I have an identical one I bought last year from Geoffrey (Tailor), and a variation on the same theme that I picked up from a jewellers on the Royal Mile in January this year. I have also seen them in a silver-plated finish - very smart!

By the way, Kiltstore.net does not have a retail outlet for personal shoppers. Their business is done only on the Internet - or it was!

The kilt pins turned up, I bought two of them, very nice they are, great design, sturdy and beautifully packaged.

I'm impressed with their customer service.

One I placed on my new plain wool kilt from RKilts, the other goes to a recent Scottish national tartan PV from USAK.

2 fine pins for 2 fine kilts, as Glen says: Life if good!
