We went on the Thursday night and as far as I could see out of about 2000??people there I was the only one in the audience in a kilt. As it was the perfect oppertunity for those whoe don't normally wear one I was quite disappointed.

I agree Rob, (and to answer your question Glen) the night I went I think there may have been one other guy, he was quite formally dressed so I didn't really know if he was an "official".
While I love Tattoo's, they do rather enforce the notion that kilt belong in pipe bands.
I hope I dispelled that notion today in the city of Burnie, working in the main street with power drills, power cords etc installing a sign to new restaurant.
I did get quite a few strange looks and giggles.
I went back there tonight for an opening cocktail party. The place was jam packed with everyone who was anybody in the community.
I wore my Morrison 8 yard, shirt and tie. It is a "world Cuisine" restaurant, so I said I was there representing the Celtic Peoples.
It's nice to stand out with a bit of colour in a sea of black suits, I loved it!
