I ordered the Tweed Argyle with 5 Button Waistcoat in charcoal. I wanted a more general purpose jacket that I could wear to the office or other non-formal occasions.

I assume you mean this one : http://scottishkilts.net/products/sc...waistcoat.html
That's actually the same on I got too. It's very nice, and is quite versatile.
Mine only took about 4 weeks to arrive, but they did not have my size in stock, so it needed to be made before it could be shipped.

Yeah, that's the one I ordered. So you're saying I'll probably have mine within about a month. That times it perfectly with the due date for my traditional Kilt.

Don't quote me on that, but mine was about a month and it needed to be specially made. David at Scotishkilts.net is very good with answering emails, and should be able to provide a more accurate due date. Enjoy your jacket.

Don't worry. I won't have Vinnie or Tony come break your kneecaps if it doesn't come when you say.

I received the jacket and waistcoat a few days ago, and it's pretty nice. Ordering one size larger than I normally would worked pretty well. I will have to get some minor alterations done, but that's common for me any time I buy a jacket. The waistcoat seems quite a bit larger than it should be, but that's easily fixed.

If I remember correctly, you said you wanted to be able to wear this at the office. Were you going to wear a kilt at your office?
I ran into this just yesterday modelling my recent find of a kilt jacket. The comments were that it looked right everywhere but large in the waist. It's cut for a traditional kilt which sits high on the waist. Once I showed it off with the kilt on, the reason was obvious. It had been tailored to fit me with a kilt on. If yours is the same, it will never look right until you wear it with the kilt. You may be in trouble if you are wearing a low waisted kilt.
(hmm, sounds like some people I know: low, wasted.)
