I regret having to say this, Cavscout (and others who just love the UK Spartan), but both these shorts and the UK Spartan remind me of some strange, undefinable undergarment that my grandmother, and other ladies of her era, used to wear .................... not that I ever saw her wearing them, but they appeared on the washing lines with regularity. They were not, I grant you, in such bright colours. Those favoured by my dear grandmother seemed always to be in a pinkish grey shade called 'Oyster'!!
This is the one Utilikilt design that I know I could never wear!
