I tried on the Spartan on Sunday and absolutely love it. I don't see it as something I would wear out all that often, but for lounging around the house or washing the car, it will be terrific. I would have bought one on the spot, but I'm holding out for the second generation.

Hamish, I know exactly what you're talking about, but for the younger generation accross the pond... Well we see them differently.

CavScout, I'll bring up your suggestion at the Aniversary gathering on Saturday, see what Steven has to say about the idea. I'm not sure how they would do it with the pleats, but reversable might be interesting. I have a pair of pants (yeah, I know guys) that are made out of that material, and they are awefully comfortable.

I'm looking at a few bolts of this stuff on ebay and trying to find out what the weight is but it's like she hasn't a clue what I mean. She's going to weigh the entire bolt tomorrow soooooo...

Hopefully this is 6 oz. material so I can 2 ply the kilt to make 12 oz.

Correct me if I'm wrong in my logic here in calculating what the bolt should weigh if it's 6 oz / sq. yd. The bolt is 60" wide x 10 yds

1 yd 60" wide would be 24 oz.

    times

    10 yds

equals 240 oz. for the bolt

converted to lbs. = about 15 lbs.

    Does that sound right?

I figure a bolt is enough to make 2 kilts at 5 yds each. The material will cost about $16.00 US. Maybe this is a waste of time, but 2 sturdy comfy kilts for $16.00 sounds worth a shot !!!!

Thanks Geoduck, let me know if they like the idea.

I did see one live and in person on this poor soul,

    I agree with Hamish.
