    Its Here!!

My new philabeg USAKilt arrived today. It fits perfectly, looks great, and has already withstood the spill test, however inadvertently. I had given up being able to wear it to Celtic Fling here in PA on the weekend, but now I can. Thanks Rocky and Kelly, I love it.

Oops, in the excitement, I forgot to post that its Clan Hay (ancient). Its great. I've been sitting at my computer in it for most of the day (job hunting) and when I stand up, the wrinkles just fall out of it. Its warmer than I thought, but my only other kilt is the Amerkilt and its fairly lightweight (but that really helps with summer hiking). With being married to a seemstress for the last 23 years, I figure it will get her critical eye, but the seams and stitching look like hers, so I figure its done well.

You have a fine kilt there, as I can testify to, having a few USAK's myself. They are an excellent all-round kilt.

Congrats, and I hope we'll see a piccie soon.

Well, Rocky and Kelly, if you read this thread, my wife gave a big thumbs up to the quality. And if a sewing job meets her criteria, we got a bargain. She thinks it looks very nice. She's going to try and make a corduroy kilt for me this winter. She even bought the pattern a couple of months ago. Is that cool, or what. My son's friend saw it and just said, ohhh, new kilt. Thats a nice one. My future son-in-law now knows where he's getting his casual from too. Thank's to the e-mails, I was helped in getting the correct measurements. We'll try to get a group picture at Fling this weekend that I can post.
