Outstanding story Raphael. It is encouraging that his classmates accepted him without the usual stuff you get with youngsters. BTW tell the coach to go soak his head somewhere. As an authority figure he had no business teasing your son in front (I assume) of the other kids -- good natured or not. That's where cookie-cutter behavior begins and original thought starts to die.

My nephew, four years old at the time, was the ringbearer in my most recent wedding. He wore a rental kilt and was angry when he had to send it back.

Alas, I was blessed only with daughters, so I won't enjoy a kilted father-son outing, as you have and will.
