My thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to get this one up and running.
I have just passed my order for 4 metres to Steve, and look forward to having it made into a First Class traditional 8 yard, knife-pleated, kilt in Scotland.
Unfortunately, it will not be available for me to pick up whilst in Vancouver in three/four weeks time - I just hope I don't get stung harshly by our Authorities as it is shipped into the United Kingdom. It'll be a rather expensive kilt if that happens!!
Come on the rest of you - get ordering.....

My order
I've just given Steven and order for 2.5 metres. I'll make a box pleated kilt of it. Can't wait to have someone ask what tartan it is.

Note;
I will post a new thread and list an update on the orders for the X Marks Tartan.
That will let everyone know how much fabric has been ordered.

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

I got a chance to actually meet and talk with Gordon from Fraser Kirkbright at the Grandfather Mountain Games this weekend. He was there sharing a tent with Great Scot Intl, (The Scottish Weaver) who sells his cloth here in the US. I chatted with him, and when I mentioned the X Marks Tartan, he knew exactly what I was talking about.
He had cloth there, so I got to look at some large samples of his heavy weight kilting cloth. Good stuff! I think we will be very pleased with the results here.
BTW, Gordon seems to be a super nice guy!

Excellent. This is great news! I haven't personally seen their heavyweight, so another positive report is very reassuring.
Just need to get 4-5 more people to sign up! Don'tbe shy, folks! Talk to your kiltmaker. Believe me, it's not terribly likely that there's ever going to be a second chance at this! Once we get 25 meters worth of orders, Steve will place the order and that's that!

Thanks
To Steve and all those who've done the work to make this a reality for those of us with no clue.
Now I'm jonesing for a box pleated kilt in the X Marks tartan from Matt.
Off to figure out how to make that happen.

I got that same impression from exchanging emails with the man a few times.
