Both of us will be looking up names, answering tartan related questions, etc.

Darn, wish you were going to be there on Saturday too. Love to meet you in person but I understand the demands of having both a job and a newborn.
Hope the volunteer help is Carl and his delightful child bride, I did enjoy talking to them greatly.

Well, I sure thank ya'll for signing in...I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can. While you're wandering around just look for a tall blonde guy with a 4" goatee and his 14 yr old son who looks a bit like a punk rocker!
Again, we'll be in the 1 am curfew campsite...ya'll come by for a dram!
P.S. - I am really geared up for this games! Woohoo!!

I don't think Carl and Ginny are among thsoe who signed up. Stop by and say hi, regardless!
I would consider staying the whole weekend, but leaving my wife alone at home with three kids under three for three days is not her idea of fun! And the kids are all a bit too young yet to come up to the Games with us for that length of time and have fun. But I'd like to come up at least for the day and say hi to some friends, etc.
Looks like I'll probably be there Friday.

Definitely bring your rain gear. The tropical storm in the gulf may end up giving us a good soak depending on the track. It's too early to tell so keep an eye on the weather reports. We may have some true Scottish weather.

Just got back from my one day at Grandfather. Got to meet a few X Marks folks there, and had a good time. Got a chance to talk to a lot of old friends and comrades, which is why I went. Weather was great, and hopefully it will hold out all weekend for the rest of the folks up there.
I also got to meet and talk with Gordon from Fraser & Kirkbright, whom Alan has selected to weave the X Marks tartan -- more on that in another thread.
UK was up on the mountain this year, so you got to see a proliferation of Utilikilts on the feild. I got to see my first ever tie-dyed UKs in person. Yeah... maybe it was the colors (purple, pink, light blue) but I definitely did not like the look. I saw several people in them, though.
Alright, time to catch up on other posts I've missed...

Matt! I missed you by seconds...
I saw you when I was walking in on Friday night but I had to go put all of my gear down. I walled back up to the tent and you were gone! Then I went by to see the MacBubba's and they said you had just left! Then I came back by on Saturday to find out you werent going to be there...Doh! Well maybe at another event!
Mike I saw you from across the way in your "Protect Nuts" shirt but couldnt catch up. There were a lot of people between us!
I did see Nelson for a little while on Friday night but I was steaming after learning that I seem to be the only new vendor who they didnt let up on the mountain this year. Bummer.
Oh well. Maybe next year we can have some sort of small gathering in honor of X Marks!

Ok, tryed to post this a little earlier but must have flubbed it somehow...
Matt I stopped by and met the good doctor and his bride, sent some hellos back via them. Guess we'll meet up some other time or if I get a chace to visit the museum this summer.
Hank I wish you could have gotten thru the crowd, would have loved to meet you. I know it had to be the crowd cuz I don't move that fast. LOL that shirt got more compliments, everybody seemed to love it...with all the kilts about I was getting my picture taken because of the shirt.
Took me a couple of trys but I finally got to see clan an drumma, now I know why you guys raved over them. A real high intensity, high energy show. Added a new cd to my growing collection.
Only down point of the visit was having some guy mistake my PK cammo for a utilikilt but I set him straight very quickly. ;)
All in all it was a great weekend and a great time, wish I could have met a few of you there but there will be other times and places.

Well It was a fantastic week.
I was able to meet up with several folks from the board:
Donnie, Hank, Mark(macsim) and Matt.
I'm sorry I missed Mike and Chris.
Mike I was sitting just a couple of yards from Hank so we just missed each other by a few feet. ??: I would have noticed the shirt for sure.
