All Hallows Eve ?

David brought up an intersting point here that I hadn't thought of: Halloween.

I have gone full time since the last time the 31st of October rolled by, and I do love any excuse to party (within reason, of course).

Hell of a problem. How do you wear the kilt on Halloween and not have it be a costume, while wearing a costume?

I'm sure this has been addressed, and we are more than 3 months out... but it's a thought.

Go as the ghost of Bonnie Prince Charlie or some such thing, perhaps? Or MacBeth?

just don't go as William Wallace!!!! I saw two very tacky Wallaces lat year in homemade clothes and blue make up. It's funny that William Wallce looked just like Mel Gibson.

You know, I've thought about it, and there's always Groundskeeper Willy. Dye my hair and beard red and bring a rake!


On the flip side, maybe wearing pants for a change might be costume enough.

I could easily go as Grounds Keeper Willie. I don't even have to dye my hair and beard red.

p.s. I was able to weasle out of going to the midnight pickup of Harry Potter Book 6. I don't get into those kind of things like my wife and her friends.

With a great kilt (belted plaid) you're set to devise any "costume" from the 1500's through the 1700's! With a philabeg, add a couple of hundred years to that range....
