Kilt Jacket Sizing

I went to the Portland Highland games this last weekend and Geoffry (Tailor) was there with a display. After trying on several jackets I asked the Guy running the booth if this was a normal fitment problem and his response was that I am "a bit heavy in the arm" and I would need a custom fit. Like I said, I'm no body builder, is any body else running into this? I don't want the hassle of ordering a jacket from overseas that has to be returned for fittings.

Obviously, Jamie, I cannot comment on individual incidents, but that guy would have been Hugh who, believe me, really knows his subject. He measured me in Edinburgh for my GT Doublet and the fit just could not be bettered. Beside that, he is a more 'mature' chap and has been in the business all his life. I'd put my faith in what he told you.
