I'd like to know why there isnt a pic of the kilt on a person, a mannequin, or at least a full pic of it laid out on a table. Each pic seems to be angled to conceal most of the kilt.

Actually, we have a peice of MacGregor cloth here in the museum that is about 150 years old, and the colors are brighter than you might think. That's why I said I couldn't confirm or deny the age of the cloth based on those pictures -- the quality just isn't good enough to make the fine distinctions.

Also, I might add that analine dyes were introcduced in 1856 in Scotland, so the cloth could be 150 years old and analine dyed.

Smells like.......
This may well be genuine, however you'll note that (as far as I could see) there's no reference to just when this guy's trip to Scotland took place,
so the immediacy or otherwise of the need to pay 'medical bills' sounds a little convenient.
"Are we Scots or Pakistani.." There may be a place called 'Sterling' in Pakistan, but for the 25 years I lived in Scotland, the university town 28 miles from Glasgow was known as Stirling (could be a typo I suppose).
I wonder if he'd consider doing a trade for a genuine victorian cellphone
I picked up when visiting an imaginary shoppe in Olde London Towne
sometime recently. I've also got a microwave oven reputed to have been used by Alan Pinkerton............
