Very nicely done, Ranald! I'm going to go with davedove and also put my vote behind No.#3, although I would be proud to wear any of them. By the looks of the workmanship, I'd say you've had experience with leather before this project. Have you hand stitched these sporrans or machine stiched. Now... what will you do for an encore! 8)

Thanks guys , I thought it was about time to share just as you all do and thanks to all for kicking me up the rear end and actually make the pictures happen.
Blu ,I think it maybe a semi dress sporran with deer hide (fur on)As I'm a re-enactor with the vikings I find making things very rewarding(not just money).
The three sporrans were all made by hand and hand sewn (electric drill to make the holes though), what is interesting is what people like.
My favourite one is the second and is inspired by sporran I saw on Hamish gallery(thanks Ham).It was meant to be a scottish thistle design but the detail didn't quite reach my expectations. It's the one I wear though!
I did find that the more leather I worked the better I got at it.If I was to take this up professionally a quicker way to make the holes would need to be found.
Glad you liked them best wishes.
DreadBelly sorry not sure what to do about that.

Re: the image size... If you're using MS Windows... The easiest way to reduce the image size is to open the image file in 'Paint' that comes with Windows. Under the "Image" menu, there is a menu selection called "Stretch/Skew". THis allows you to redice the image size by percentage. You can check the original image size by selecting "Atributes" under the same "Image" menu. You want your final image size to be roughly 600 to 800 pixels in the longest dimension to fit nicely in your post. Save the resized image back to disk & your ready to rock 'n' roll.
Hope this helps.

Nice looking work, mate. I like #2 the best, personally, but I'd wear any of them myself, in a flash.
