If you're up to it, I'm sure people would contribute. Or, we could just use the calendar here on Xmarks. Some of the occasions are already on there and it would keep you from duplicating work that's already been done.

Just looked at the XMarks calendar. What I was thinking was similar, but maybe a bit easier to add an item, and specifically for a 'Why today' kinda thing. Whatever tho, unless some people think it'd be worth having, I'm not gonna start it because the XMarks calendar would handle it just fine, although not specifcally geared for it.

    Irish Regiments...

Sure, why not? Just remember that the Irish regiments usually only had kilted pipers. But I don't see why someone couldn't wear an Irish tartan, saffron, etc. kilt for an Irish regimental day. Someone with a Welsh, Cornish or Manx tartan could wear their kilt for specific days as well.

For my personal kilt calendar would certainly add the birthdays of my grandfathers and great grandfathers with Scottish blood and their Scottish wives...and great great aunts and uncles.

Would'nt it be easier just to keep a "trouser day"calender much less work
