Mac Newsome can have any tartan you want weaved, he makes 4 yard kilts. I dont know if thats what you want. In his website he also mentions that he would help design your own tartan if thats what you want. I think its like $65 per yard or something. Get in touch with him, he might be able to help.

What a talented guy was what I thought when I read the title of this thread wanting to weave it yourself.

The advise given by the others is probably the best that I have heard.
