Thank you all for the positive words... it means a lot to us. The tension is now starting to build as we leave shortly for the rehearsal and dinner party. I finished writing my speech late last night and the remaining details are now starting to fall into place. T-20 Hrs and counting.
Our daughter's wedding and reception / dance is now history. Everything went like clockwork - something uncommon for weddings in my experience. The majority of those in attendance were (very) ethnic Italian and understandably, I got a few puzzled looks and one outright rude remark. (The libations were free and were flowing right in the reception line which probably had some influence.) For the most part there were compliments applenty and had my first kilt check as well. A memorable day for everyone there.
