While you're there, check out the great display inside the fort of Black Watch items. Also, the cairn built by that regiment a few years ago to honor their sacrifice there during the 1758 battle. It is located just in front of the old "French Line" entrenchments as you approach the fort grounds proper....

yeah i took LOTS of pics inside the fort, inside the museum, and we went and checked out all of those memorial stones. of course i forgot my camera for the markers and when i went back to look in the armory (the flintlock grenade chucker! NICE!)\

wore my chocolate workman's Utilikilt most of the weekend that i was not in uniform :-D
