With all due respect to Jimmy Carbomb, there are a couple of points on which I disagree with him.
While I don't suggest that ALL kilts come with side pockets like trousers, I do think they are a good option. I don't like the looks of the detachable pockets or the big cargo pockets on kilts. Trouser type pockets are easy to hide in the pleats, and an underapron pocket is perfect for carrying a wallet or a revolver.
And I don't much care for embroidered logos. I'd much rather see kilt companies include a logo kilt pin (like TFKS) than to be force to wear advertising.
As for size ranges, let me point out that most folks are NOT average. My sole complaint about Stillwater Kilts is that their idea of Extra-Large is my idea of Medium. We big folks expect to pay more for our clothes, so we won't get to bent out of shape if you charge extra for Big Men sizes, just don't try to gouge us. So don't turn away a significant segment of the market by using the same size guidelines as Stillwater. The same can be said for the small end of the size spectrum as well.
BTW, I like the idea about the eyelets for kilt pins.
