    Dee,

Way to go! It really is a joy to hear first time out while kilted stories, it is such a great reminder for those of us who have been at it awhile.

Yet, what is more important is that you got two more kitls coming.

    Dee,
Great to hear how your first kilted outing went! Glad it went well, and glad to hear you've got two more kilts on the way...

    Talking Day 2 Kilted

I'm not going to bore everyone with a day-by-day cronology but this is still so new to me that I have to go with one more...

I put on my kilt again tonight and went out and it was more of the same...

I was in line at the 7-11 and a little girl took a couple of looks at me and hid in her mother's skirts. After a few minutes of whispering and her cowering I leaned over and said "I"m a Scottsman and it's a kilt" Her mother looked over and said "I was going to explain that to her in the car" and then thanked me. Then she (the mother) asked if I was also a musician. I told her "yes" (hehehehe) and she seemed satisfied with it all. ( I sort of attempt the piano and have some experience with the sax and flute but didn't go into it.) All I said was "don't ask as I'm not very good with the instruments I play but I try"
All in all it was very amusing.

My apologies to those on this board who are pipers but I could not resist

God but I'm really enjoying all this. It's way more fun than a 42 year old suburbanite can ask for!

Wait another ten years and a young lady half your age looks at you and says "I like your kilt it's cool!" with a huge approving grin on her face. ;)
