Graham,
The picture inside the abby chapel was one I tried to get however I used my manual Nikon FM2 and I fudged the result. The effect just wasn't there. Your's captures the atmosphere of the place. The Simple tranquility.
Thanks mate

Thanks David, I didn't think my lowly Canon digital would beat a Nikon F2!!
It was a "lucky" shot, if the flash had gone off it would have ruined it.
How is your kilt-jacket from Inverness? Do you like it?

Real nice scenery and great pics, Graham...
David, was it due to camera shake, or due to it being way underexposed? If the former, next time, bring the tripod. If the latter, I would've opened the lens up a stop or two...

You are so right John. I didn't bracket enough a tripod would have been a great help

David,
Guess hindsight is 20/20, as usual... Anyway, if you do need a tripod, look at the Bogen/Manfrotto 3011 (Manfrotto #144), with the Bogen 3055 ball head. Both items can be found on e8@y for cheap. I've been pretty happy with mine. It's not very light or compact, though. But, it's very sturdy.
