Graham, I ran across it some time back, but it lacks a few, and some say it is a bit misleading. I really like the historic info you get along with (mostly) each bitmap, though. It is helping me to decide which future tartans I want in a kilt.

    Kilt nave,

The shamrock tartan is on usakilts website, its not a good picture though, looks slightly blurred and the colors look like they could be off.

    Hey Guys,

Sorry if there's any confusion... the "Shamrock" tartan that's on our site is NOT a registered tartan. There SHOULD be an asterisk (*) behind it. I just checked and noticed that there isn't one. I'm getting that fixed ASAP.

The tartan is a "Bumble Bee"... it's a made up tartan that we found a couple bolts of down on Fabric Row in Philly... Kelly and I made up the name so that we had something to call it. Since it's mostly black and green and "looked Irish", we named it Shamrock.

    Again... sorry for the confusion.

It looks to be simply a variant of the Black Watch sett. same colors used, anyways....

From that picture it seems to be blue and turquoise, It does remind me of the Blackwatch. Shamrock is a VERY lovely name :-)

    Hey Cory,

Unfortunately, we don't have the Henderson tartan in PV. There's about 70 names of which we keep about 40 in stock. Sorry about that.

The Shamrock tartan is mainly green and black with a VERY dark blue (you can only tell it's dark blue in the daylight). The material is a 10 oz worsted wool... it's NOT PV. It's "suit quality" wool. VERY tight weave and very nice and soft to the touch with a decent hand to it.

Rocky, I'm sure the Shamrock is a lovely tartan. All tartans are lovely, I love tartans, I love the colours, they are very alluring.....hang on, there's a knock at the door...men in white coats??

How's my plain, non-tartan kilt coming along Rocky?
