I've noticed all this myself. Does anyone know which of the readily available commercial sporrans has the largest capacity?

Nichols Brothers are quite good, although Janet Eagleton also makes quite roomy ones. I don't know which would have the largest capacity, and I don't know where Maragret Morrison would fit in this; and I'm not sure about Canadian or American manufacturers. To tell the truth, I've never tried to measure them all for capacity.

Habing read alot of posts here about sporrans I think the Buss Kidder and Freelander sporrans probably have the best capacity. I have one commercially made sporran that I rarely wear because the stiffness of the front and back make it uncomfortable to wear. My everyday sporran and dress sporran I made myself. The everyday sporran is soft jacket grade leather and closed it measures 6 inches wide by 8 inches high when flat and has a 3 inch gusset. It holds quite a bit.

Freelander Sporran. I have stuffed it with a blackberry, wallet, and a digital camera with room to spare.
