I could pack for an entire vacation with that! ;) Of course I tend to travel light.

I took five kilts with me on my trip to Tucson two weeks ago. Used my old firefighter's turnout bag. They're about as big as a duffle bag gets since they have to hold boots, helmet, pants and jacket.

I fold my kilts in quarters (fold in half, then fold again) and lay them in opposite directions, alternating back and forth in the bag. Then fill in the sides and ends with other soft gear like socks, shirts.

Works well for me, but then its just me in my truck, no airports or baggage handling involved.

There are many sites for firefighter's bags. Here's one.

Should I be concerned about carrying kilts in a bag that has "Hazmat" all over it!? Even so, those bags look pretty substantial for the dollars. I suppose one might also consider one of those big sports bags for hockey equipment etc. they could work as well if you've got a lot of stuff.

I just got back from ten days in Scotland and I used my Kilt Kaddie from the Scottish Lion. I was able to pack my entire band uniform in it which inlcudes a horsa hair sporran. I found it to very convenient and it kept my kilt looking clean a crisp. It is a little pricey but if you travel alot I think it is worth it.
