Ok seriously, doesn't that eventually break down and destroy the fabric?
Oh you say the same thing about combs and brushes! :-P
Truthfully I don't know if starch will eventually cause fabric to break down. I do know that it will eventually yellow white shirts causing them to need a good bleaching to get white again, and bleach is not good for fabric over the long haul.

It does cause break down, well it always did my cammies. but I still got 3 1/2 years out of them. I don't own a soild kilt (yet) but if/when I do I will be all about starching it. I would use Sta-flo liquid starch, maybe 1 part warter to 1 part starch. that will make it real crisp but not positive that it will cure the curl eventualy.
