In response to Dreadbelly;
Yes, Hamish has the reputation to make or break a company on his review of a kilt. And yes, I am positive he will review, in public, the kilt and service he receives from me.
But - he will not be "jumping the line" or getting any preferential treatment. (Heck, even the famous Rocky and lovely Kelly had to wait till just yesterday to be notified their kilts were finished.) (To Hamish - You have made it to the top row of the Order Board.)
I want people to know that right now I have a three month backlog on orders.
It is a fact of my business. I had two very good seamstresses for over the summer but both have returned to school, and the orders are coming in faster now than in May.
I could write a long dissertation on the reasons for the backlog. I could tell you of grand expansion plans. But that would not change the fact that there is, right now, a backlog.
I have always tried to notify my customers of the approx. lead-time when they place an order. I allow them to cancel if the delay is unacceptable. And I offer my customers the option of deferring payment until I actually cut the fabric for their kilt.
That's the best I can do right now. I WILL NOT allow quality to suffer.
