There is a country in Asia, I don't remember which one, where it is (or maybe was) against the law to wear pants.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere but Bucks County, PA, but I love visiting other places.

Actually, the garment is called a Gho; the country is Bhutan. The law only applies to natives, although visitors may don the garment if they wish.

I loved Amsterdam. The cultural variety suits me, as well as being on water. I'd go back there today if I could.

I also liked Rome for its big-city feel, history around every corner, and fresh, delicious drinking water from every fountain. Their water system has worked flawlessly for over a thousand years.

I didn't have any problems getting around kilted in either place.

I'd like to visit all of the places in Scotland that are named in Archie Fisher's poem The Black Horse, and make any decisions about a place to live from there, but Oban, Islay and Inverness areas all sound to me as though they would do very fine, as well.

In Ireland, there are many grand locales, and of those that I have seen, I'd have to say that the environs of Sligo city, and the town of Oughterard are two of my favorites.

As to the states, I've seen some very pretty places around the nation, but there are several within 100 miles of where I've lived for the past 20 years which really appeal to me, either as a spot for a cabin, or a place to retire, eventually.

    Smile Where in Scotland?

I'd like to live anywhere in Scotland, We lived for several years in England, near Oxford, and enjoyed it. But, I'd like to spend more time on Iona and explore Mull.
