    Bryan,

I'm super-glad your kilt made it to you ok. Your email had me worried, because I had expected that you'd get delivery of that kilt last week.

I had a customer recently have a package missing for almost a month -- it had been delivered to a neighbor's apartment instead of his by mistake and left outside the door.

The neighbor apparantly saw the wrong name on it, figured it wasn't his, and left it sitting on his porch the whole time. Meanwhile, my customer was trying to get some idea of where his package was from FedEx, who said they had already delivered it. Eventually he contacted us about it. I was getting ready to ship out another package to him (it wasn't a kilt, it was an off-the-shelf item), when I got another email saying that he found the original package. He got curious about the mysterious package that had been outside his neighbors' door for a few weeks. So he went to check it out, and sure enough it was his.

I can't beleive that the neighbor didn't even move the box, or knock on his door, or something. Can you imagine walking around a package for a month, just because it didn't have your name on it ("not my problem"). Some people!

In any case, the lesson here is whenever you ship something like a kilt make sure it is insured! (Which yours was, by the way). I'm releived to hear it was in the office and now in the proper hands. I hope you get much enjoyment out of it!

    Aye,
    Matt

BTW, Bryan, go back through your inbox from around the 4th and see if you didn't get an email from FedEx. You should have gotten an automated email alert telling you the package was on its way and giving you a tracking number, etc. We do that for all our customers who provide us with an email address.

Another thing I've found is to have it shipped to your place of work. The shipping may be cheaper for the vendor and tracking is easier. This avoids leaving it on the doorstep.

Goodness! I would have panicked myself. It's a good thing we have level-headed spouses.

Leaving a package on a porch for a month is weird. I'm glad that one worked out well.
