OHHHH NOOOOO! A German National tartan?!?!?!?

My wife is 1/2 German, her mother is from Berlin (pronounced correctly as BearLeen!). If there is a German National tartan, I have the perfect reason to get another kilt!! Imagine, "But Honey, it's for you, for your heritage. How can I not get one before Xmas when we go to see your parents?? And box pleated as well! I must call Matt right away, you understand don't you? I am only doing it for you." ;) ;) ;)

Anyway, even if I don't get one this year, I would love to see a pic of that tartan. Congrats Davedove!

Congrats! A box pleat from Matt is on my wish list...if I can ever get past the great work Kathy Lare does for me...ahhhhh such decisions....

A moot point anyway until my plastic recharges a bit.

Hmmm....think I've got some German blood back a ways...some Loyalist ancestors moved to Canada after the Revolution and married up with some German Mercenary's kids that stayed in North America....

German National Tartan.....what a concept. Hope you share some pics.

My wife is a Robertson, but I'm mostly German, so I'm very interested.

I'm also a clergyman, so I have access to those as well, though I haven't been able to locate any good clergy tartan kilt pics.

If anyone can help, post away!

    Dave,

The German National pleated up into a really nice looking kilt. Please do share pictues when you get it.

I realized too late that I forgot to include your "Kilt Passport" in with the shipment.
(For those that are interested, it looks like a passport, but really what it does is provide record of who made your kilt and when, and then you can fill in other details, such as major events you wore your kilt to, etc., for you to pass on to future generations with your kilt. Also has advice for caring and cleaning of your kilt).

I'll pop that in the mail for you today.

I hope you enjoy and wear it in good health!

    Thanks Matt.

The main reason I went ahead and got the German National was because Matt had the cloth on hand. If this is still the case, some of you wanting one may be able to get your order in and not have to wait for the weaving.

For now, I'm just wishing some of my life away waiting for Tuesday.
