I looked as he passed, it was pleated all around, no aprons at all.

The second one shows the hazards of the kilt in thick canvas. It rumples easily, and stays rumpled. The second one I'm more inclined to forgive, since the Workman's is marketed as a working man's garment.
As to the second, I stand corrected. I took it thru a digital slr with a zoom lens. In the light and at the distance I was at, it looked like a Blackwatch tartan. I still don't like the color combo though. The only good thing I can say about his sense of taste, is his choice in beer. Looks like a Guinness or a "Black and Tan."

Of course, he's right, you know. I can drive my car both ways in the right hand lane. I can smuggle drug across the border. I can shoot heroin and do a HALO drop before my ninetieth birthday. But then I try to exercise a bit more wisdom than that most of the time.

Try'in not to knock U.k's but I see a lot of them that look just like that one.
Too short, way too long or a lot look like they just need a good pressing.

I know a casual non tarten kilt in alternative fabrics should look lived in but I see a lot that look like they live on the bottom of the closet in a pile. The one in the picture isn't even that bat to what i've seen. But not just one or two, quite a few.
Having a kilt in some of these materials causes you to iron them more often to freshen them up. They can look good but many look wrinkled all the time.
Seems like too much work for me,
maybe that's why they call it the workmans kilt.

Oooh! As a skydiver I would love to do one!
By the way, it is possible to jump in a kilt too. Only has to tie it around the legs to prevent it from getting on the deployment handle. (And to avoid too much exposure while regimental!) My friend has enough jumps to get licence to jump kilted. I need to send a pic when I get one
