Spent the day in my PK to take it thru it's paces. Went to Wal-Mart to pick up some things for the wife and then over to Home Depot to grab some lumber for my deck. No comments but plenty of stares.
Anyway, I'm loving this kilt. It is pretty rigid so you won't have any sway but this also keeps it off your legs while moving around. The weight is perfect for hard labor, unlike my UK. Slight breeze in the morning but no problems with the apron rising without a kilt pin (Probably won't put one on this kilt unless I use one of my old USMC collar emblems from my Service Greens.) Managed to use all the pockets, so I'm glad I kept the side pockets.
Returned home to spend the rest of the day working on the deck and cleaning up leaves. Wouldn't have taken it off but it had saw dust all over it and I wanted to get it inthe wash to try and relax the fabric a bit.
Once out of the wash I laid it out on the table to dry and this gave me the time to really look at Jeff's construction. GREAT JOB JEFF! I guess I'd have to say that the narrow pleat option is a plus to the appearance. If you don't mind loosing the "swish" go for it, you'll look great. I'll get some pics up in a few days.
