    I didn't like it at all on my first sporran. But that one was a hard leather variety. The one I have and use now is a softer leather, one of the buzz kidder rob roys ordered from USAK. It's [the thumping sound] a little more subdued on this one, as the leather is softer.

    So now, as the others have said, I think of it more as a cadence, or keeping up the beat for me to walk to. I rather enjoy it.

    Sporrans

    Rick,
    If you don't like them cut them off. They serve no purpose today, except decoration. With the cookie cutter sporrans, and the hard leather they can be annoying. If you’re going to go kilted a lot maybe you should get a sporran that really serves it purpose.
