    Cool Just another day kilted

Today I woke up at 1PM (nite shift) put my kilt on( PV Mapleleaf) and went about running some errands. For the most part no comments to the point of almost indifference. The Dentist office, no comment, the mall , looks but also no comments. At the gas station once again no comments, same thing at the corner store. Guess people are getting way to used to seeing me Kilted. ;)
There was one shinning moment, in the local mall coffee shop, where they know me quite well. One of the ladies behind the counter, who is very kind and friendly but somewhat reserved, asked me where my bagpipes were. Without skipping a beat I told her, I'de show them to her but then I'de probably get arestted. . She turned quite red and gave a little chuckle, everyone else saw the humor also. As a matter of fact ,one of the younger girls (20s) almost dropped the coffee that she was making for someone. Then this older lady turned to me again and said, well I sure do like thesound they make when people blow on them. . The place errupted with a roar of laughter, then she realized what she just said. Didn't think she could get any redder.
Oh well just another day Kilted

LOL! That is a great story. Had to put my hand over my mouth so people don't get worried about the kilted guy laughing maniacally at his desk!

Yes, sir. I just love it when people make what they think is an innocent comment, then follow up with a verbal blunder. Two thumbs up.

Coffee shops and kilts seem to go together. I just love hearing things like this.

I hate to rain on your parade, but I rather fit that description (except for being behind the counter), and that kind of embarassment would be very offensive to me. While it may have been funny, you made her the butt of your crude joke. I doubt she deserved that.

A very good point Sherry, I never thought of it in that manner. Though I'm sure that I didn't offend, I will be sure to appalagise to the lady next time I see her. I also am sorry if I offended you.

    Good form Whiteraven!

Sherry, when I read your post, I had to go back and re-read WR's to see if I missed something. I could definitely see, based on seeing it through your eyes, where the lady behind the counter could have been offended. Hopefully she was not.

I appreciate your apologies, gents. I am rather easily embarrassed, mind you, & I couldn't help but put myself in her position.
