I saw it too. I had meant to post it, but clean forgot.

Posting that was the first thing that crossed my mind also.
If anybody finds a picture of it, let me know.
Might make a sporran similiar to it just for fun.

I made sure to keep an eye out, and yes - it looks like a ferret atop a plain sporran. Fitting, though - I liked the subtle humour of the ferret.

As it was a Harry Potter movie, I almost expected the sporran to start talking, or something. :-D

I wondered if it was acidental or one of those 'let's see if anybody gets this?' things....
There I was sitting in my kilt watch the movie moments before this scene I said to her "I wonder who's wearing a kilt?" After Mad Eye she just said "There you go, does that answer your question?" She noticed it before I said anything to her. I guess I trained her good...or maybe she has developed a thing for guys in kilts?

I also caught that, too. I'm going to need to watch it again, but one of the band members (Weird Sisters) also looked like he was wearing a kilt. It was a very quick glance, and they didn't show him again, so I couldn't verify.
I liked the movie. I think the screen writing of the whole Harry Potter series has been done well.

I really liked how, in the ball scene, all the students were wearing their traditional ethnic dress, or a modern version. So I was a little surprised not to see any in kilts, considering how many Scottish accents you hear. I did notice Mad Eye in his kilt suit. Hard to miss that mechanical leg sticking out.

I was looking, and dissappointed, too, Planopiper. Nary a kilt among the dancers. :-(
I was wondering why they made Mad Eye's kilt solid. And they never showed him walking in it.

I was suprised by that as well. Although it was nice to see at least one kilt in the scene. After this and the kilt sighting in the second film, Harry Potter is turning into a kilt friendly franchise. Anyone else think the scenery was outstanding on this one?
