Don't wanna scare anyone off with the cost, because the value is solid.

Cloth was part of the group order from Fraser Kirkbright that Steve from Freedom Kilts was kind enough to handle for us. Think my final cost for 4 meters of fabric was $263.00 USD.

Kathy Lare was kind enough to agree to sew up the kilt and flashes and Steve forwarded the cloth to her. Kathy's craftsmanship was a mere $316 to sew up the kilt and flashes.

So looks like a total of about $579 which, to me, seems like a bargain for a custom weave of 14oz wool and the craftsmanship of Kathy Lare.

I also bought enough cloth for Kathy to sew me up an X Marks Tartan vest. She's still working on that. She took my measurements at the Flagstaff, AZ Highland games so should be a good fit. If you don't know Kathy check out her webpage at www.kathyskilts.com She's a real gift with her Scottish training and certification. And a nice lady too.

When the X Marks vest arrives I plan to wear it with my solid color kilts.

Thanks again to all those guys and ladies who made the X Marks Tartan kilt a reality. I came in on the tail end of the effort and just road the coat tails.

And, you dang betcha, baja's look great with solid color UKs.
