The kilt looks great, Craig, and it's nice to see another Canuck on the forum with a totally warped sense of humour.

Welcome from another Vancouverite. You'll be happy to hear that their is alot going on in the kilt community in Vancouver and surrounding areas. Besides the monthly kilt night at Doolin's, the Burn's nights are getting ready for January (as is Gung Haggis Fat Choy), Raphael and I are planning a scotch tasting in Port Moody, and we may expand kilts night to reach some of the burbs.

I hear you about the friends weddings. I got hitched 5.5 years ago and skipped the kilt as all 3 of my groomsmen were broke and very hesitant about the rental fee. I have seen been kilted at 2 of their weddings, and am the best man at the next one's wedding next year. I am sure glad that I bought that argyle jacket, as it has really been handy.

Where did you get your kilt from, it looks great.

Thanks for the warm welcome! And who's this Jude girl that's been peeking in my apartment? Hehe, I've told her about this board in the past, and last night I was showing her that I finally posted, what I said etc, then when I hit page 2 I saw the sneak had already been here! She's not Mrs. Space Moose, but she will be my roomie on Wednesday (hence the packing).

Raphael, yep, I was hoping that there was going to be a kilt night this Saturday. I saw that it was the first Saturday of the month for the past few months, but hadn't seen a posting in the kilt night forums. I found it on your meetup though, so I signed up. We're attending Jude's Christmas party downtown that evening, and will be dropping by afterwards.

The kilt is "The Balmoral" from Balmoral Highland Dress and Kilts, by way of kiltstore.net (and the xmarks discount). It's a nice big 16oz tank.
