Well I'm one of the lucky ones. I own my own business so as the boss I call the shots. And I say kilts are in. I actually made them official policy (with existing trousered employees grandfathered into being allowed to remain bifurcated).
So if its during the day I'm wearing one of my ten kilts. I still have a long way to go to catch up to Ham, but I plan on it! So 9 times out of 10 I'm sitting here in a kilt. And when bedtime comes I still refuse to go bifurcated. I found a great flannel blackwatch nightshirt for colder evenings and a very nice cotton pin-strip nightshirt (Brooks Bros) for summer. Ahh, the comfort of never, ever wearing trousers or shorts or anything like again (except when swimming of course!).

Just have one!
I only have a black microfiber AK, wear it as much as possible, whatever my wife let's me get away with. (She is supportive, She bought it for me!, just still getting used to it!)
I have ordered Barb's book, and plan to use it to make my own. I'll use it as a guide, since the book for "Casual" kilts hasn't been published yet!
My wife is a fantastic seamstress, so I am comfortable with her guidance.
Kilt On! Whew!

Not wearing any at present but got the kit ready for tomorrow!!!
Got a bit carried away this year so my count has gone up a bit....
Hamilton Casual - family tartan
Chisholm Casual - (nearly) family tarten + I like the colours
Frazer tank - impulse buy when in the Cairngorms - favoured regional affiliation?
MacDuff tank - bought on e-bay, vintage hand-made
Denim squared - made by me pre book
MacQueen full 8 yd - made using Barb's book
Black PV casual - cheap & cheerful
Douglas PV casual - cheap & cheerful also but related to the Hamilton line too.
I've tried to stick to the family connections - some very tenuously, but at the end of the day it's what I've seen & liked. Besides I've been threatened with having my Scottish connections removed if I get any more!!!!!

I have a couple of USAK casuals I wear around the house and for work, plus a Bear casual. These are perfect for, well, everything, working in the garden, sitting around the computer etc.
Out to town I like a heavier kilt, 8 yarder, usually USAK semi trad.
Out at night, 8 yard wool in winter, 8 yard PV other times.
Since church is a home fellowship thing, I can be more casual there.
It's nice to slowly build a wardrobe that will allow you to dress for any occasion. It's a lot of dosh, but little by little, considering carefully the Hamish rule of colour matching ;-)
Life is truly wonderful kilted.
