Sorry we missed you Sav - was a nice evening. The bar was busy, but not crazy and there were quite a few kilts there as well. The Naughty Scot Ale was a nice dark brown, almost black ale with a nice bite and a smooth sweet finish. The Brew master said that they used brown sugar in the fermentation process to give it that sweet aftertaste. I liked it, but after two or three of those I was ready for a nice light Guinness Draft :-)
As the RockBottom is in a major shopping mall (King of Prussia Mall), I'm sure more than a few of the holiday shopping patrons had no idea why all these men in kilts were there, but everyone was quite friendly and a number of pictures were being taken, and questions asked. Hopefully Rocky and USA Kilts picked up some business as several patrons approached to ask where I bought my kilt and were dutifully directed over to Rocky.
They even had a kilt contest and the winner was to receive $100 cash. The crowd voted via the 'applause meter' and it ended up being a tie between two contestants. One of the contestants donated his $50 share to 'Toys For Tots', and RockBottom matched his $50. That was pretty cool. If I had won I would have just bought more beer! :-)
All in all a good night to expand the power of the kilt to the uneducated masses!
