Good look Joel, the kilt looks so great with sweaters. Our minister only wears his kilt on Kirk'n Sunday, I wish he would wear it for other events. Glad to hear your congregation enjoys seeing you in your kilt.

Good look Joel, and a great story. You really should try to capture the lady's song for posterity. Too soon opportunities like that are gone.

Woo-hoo! There's another kilt-wearin', Luther-readin' man out there!!!
Great pics and it sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. My church's party is this Friday and it's always an enjoyable event. I shall, as usual, be the sole Scots-American in a sea of German-Americans. But that's cool - I always keep them on their toes. Must be a latent remnant of the "Ladies from Hell" syndrome

The kilt looks great, mate.My only criticism is that you should have polished your shoes - unless of course you didn't want to upset the ladies too much ;)
I was hoping to have my first kilt (16oz Cornish National tank) in time for Christmas, so I could wear it to the myriad functions I am compelled to attend. Unfortunately finances have dictated that I have to wait until mid-January  At least I'll have it in time for Australia Day

Ummmhhh, Troy, on a kilt wearing and promoting board such as this, we really do not concern ourselve too much about the shine on the shoes, but we are extremely concerned that the shoes match the kilt outfit!:-D:-D

My shoes are usually polished to a high military shine, but we had several inches of slushy snow that day and my shoes were soaked after I walked over to the church. The condition of my shoes was bugging me all night. I was hoping the pics weren't bright enough for anyone on here to notice.

Being a McGrath and belonging to a Lutheran Church make a lot of people ask a lot of questions.. I married a good Lutheran girl. Having "escaped" from a Methodist church has caused a lot of laughs. I wear my kilt to church regularly. The big question I get is "Is that for something special?''. I just say that the methodists wouldn't let me drink.
