OK, I have a small addiction, and my credit card companies are profiting from it. I often ask myself, "Self, would you rather be debt-free or have lots of kilts?" I recently ordered another one from Utilikilts.

    Yep! Sound normal to me!!!

I would have many more, but the wife has control over the checkbook... If she didn't we would be in the poor house by now... But I would have a bunch of kilts!!

I've got a major addiction that is made worse by both my and Nopadon's preference for tanks, especially seriously expensive tanks with all the options (flashes & plaid).

I'll probably be getting several new tanks this holiday season along with a bunch of accessories so don't worry guys, we're all normal in my book.

I would say you are not insane at all. But then again, look where you are asking this question! It would be like an inmate at an asylum asking the other inmates if they were insane!

Either way, we all have fun in our insanity and are much more comfortable than our "sane", trousered brethren!

I guess (relatively speaking) my insanity is mild. I ordered my first kilt in July and now have five with one more on the way. Now I just have to catch up with accessories. I have a Freelander sporran and 1 pair of kilt hose. I also bought two pairs of soccer socks and some hiking shoes for casual. I'm buying an Eton jacket so I guess I need at least a semi-formal sporran to go with that and some flashes and more kilt hose. I'm getting a plaid brooch for Christmas........ hmmmmmmm.

After reading this back...maybe I am more insane than I thought.

I guess I have it pretty bad too. I got my first kilt in July, stopped wearing p#@nts in August and now own three UKs, one AK, one PK, two SWKs and one home made. I've got a FK on order as well as an Argyll jacket.

Funny thing is, a year ago, I would complain about spending $30 to $40 for a pair of slacks. In fact, Wrangler makes pleated slacks for about $18. Now I find myself thinking about the SWK prototypes, sheesh, they're almost free at $40. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I kind of like this new perspective! 8)
