You're hilarious!
What you need to understand is that in Britain, what we call plaids are called tartans--all of them, not just those officially adopted by clans. The word "plaid" comes from the Gaelic word for blanket, & that is how the word is used in the U.K.
So what you're wondering is if your tartan shirts are tartans that represent any clans.
I have no idea.

Sherry -- I have seen reference to "Bumby" tartans, which is Scottish slang for a plaid pattern designed to look like a tartan. Thompson makes mention of this in his book.
