Stewart Hunting...
The Stewart Hunting is a military tartan, being worn by the Royal Scots Regiment and the Canadian Scottish. I would venture to say that since it is a kilt, it is probably from the latter, since the RS wear trews in Stewart Hunting -- although a Territorial Battalion, the 9th Royal Scots, known as the "Dandy Ninth" did wear kilts in the First World War.
Just speculation -- but it is Stewart Hunting.

Thanks for the quick answer. This one of those tartans I've seen dozens of times and when the name comes up I draw a blank and can't find a pic anywhere.
