For those who know the great benefits of steam cleaning / pressing your kilts,

Please what are the "great benefits" Yes, it is a serious question.
And what are the alternatives?

Steam cleaning is less damaging to the wool than the harsh chemicals often used in dry cleaning.

And steam pressing is much superior to using an iron because the hot metal of the iron can impart a shiney surface to wool and the man-made materials that steam does not.
